Here in this article just like my previous articles, I am going to introduce you to some of the best freeware games around.

1) Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory Guide
Minimum Requirements:
CPU : Pentium II or Athlon 400 Megahertz (MHz) Processor
RAM : 128 Megabytes (MB) of RAM
Video Card : 16 Megabyte (MB) Video Card

Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory was originally planned as an add-on for Return to Castle Wolfenstein, but soon became it’s own game, a separate entity with full single player, multiplayer, AI opponents and teammates!

2) Americas Army

Minimum Requirements:
3-D graphics card with 128 MB memory and support for hardware transformation and lighting
2.4 GHz processor or equivalent
512 Mb RAM

Recommended Requirements:
3-D graphics card with 256 MB memory and support for hardware transformation and lighting
3.0 GHz processor or equivalent
1 Gb RAM

America’s Army introduces the Special Forces class of soldier. Players successfully completing Special Forces training will be able to play as a Special Forces soldier armed with all new highly specialized weaponry.

3) F.E.A.R Combat
F.E.A.R COMBAT the free multiplayer version of F.E.A.R.

Minimum Requirements:
P4 1.7GHz or equivalent
512MB RAM
64MB GeForce 4 Ti or Radeon 9000

Recommended Requirements:
P4 3.0GHz or equivalent
1GB RAM
256MB Radeon 9800 Pro or GeForce 6600

4) Digital Paint: Paintball 2.0
A fast-paced, team-based, first-person shooter with a variety of game modes.

Free Civilization Like Game - FreeCol

FreeCol is a turn-based strategy game based on the old game Colonization, and similar to Civilization. The objective of the game is to create an independent nation.

The FreeCol team aims to create an Open Source version of Colonization (released under the GPL). At first we’ll try to make an exact clone of Colonization. The visuals will be brought up to date with more recent standards but will remain clean, simple and functional. Certain new ‘features’ will be implemented but the gameplay and the rules will be exactly the same as the original game. Examples of modern features are: an isometric map and multiplayer support.

Apple so far hasn’t allowed iPhone users to download just anything, iPhone users may be giving up games that they played on a phone they previously owned.

The problem of transferring games to new phones has actually plagued the mobile gaming industry since its inception. When users upgrade to a new phone, they most often can’t bring a game that they bought for their old phone along with them
